Please join us for the launch of the 'Atlas of Automation'.
A project by AgorithmWatch supported by Bertelsmann Stiftung and Mozilla
Tuesday, 2 April 2019, 18:30 – 20:30
Mozilla Berlin, Schlesische Straße 27, 10997 Berlin (Map)
On 2 April we will publish our report "Atlas of Automation", supported by the Bertelsmann Stiftung and Mozilla. It is an inventory of the use of systems for automated decision-making (ADM) in Germany. It focuses on systems relevant for participation, for example in medicine or social administration: Where is automated decision-making already used, where is its deployment planned, what regulatory approaches exist, which important actors are active in the field?
In addition to the report, which will be published in German and English, we will also launch the Atlas website. Here, the database can be searched for specific software products and technologies, as well as actors and regulatory approaches.
Following the presentation of the report’s results, our panel of experts will discuss the use of ADM in Germany. Should the public administration have a leading role to play here? What kind of regulatory ideas promise to be affective? And are there solutions that can help to minimise the potential for discrimination in ADM processes?
